I am a ‘new’ gardener, having always had only patio’s or balconies and I found myself rather intimidated by even my small new green patch. After two days with you and other ‘hopeful green fingers’ on the “Designing your own Garden and Planting” courses I am now excited by my garden, bristling with ideas and, most importantly, I now have the confidence to ‘have a go’; to aim at something specific and to be prepared to wait for growth in the knowledge of having planted with purpose rather than with guesswork.

With your clear explanations of how to plan, chose plant types and colours and to make a basic design, my garden is now taking shape and I am loving my time planning and watching it transform. Your course was great for me, simple and yet challenging enough to bring out a whole new horticultural side of me that had never previously existed.
