Who is the course for?
Beginners and garden enthusiasts are welcome.
This course for anyone who wants to encourage and nurture more wildlife in their garden and see it buzzing, rustling and chirping with life. If you have always gardened the ‘traditional way’ and want to be more informed about the impact of our ‘bad habits’, come and join us.

By the end of the day you will :
Understand the impact that we humans can have on a garden space (negative and positive)
Have a sense of what we, as individuals can achieve in our own gardens
Understand the importance of chemicals, water management, gardening methods, plant choices and wildlife support
Have a list of plants that are great for supporting wildlife
Have a choice of easy-actions that are inexpensive for you to do in your own garden

The Group
We will be an informal group. Juliet teaches in an accessible, workshop style with illustrated ‘info-bites’ and relevant exercises for you to think about your own garden.
As well as being an award-winning garden designer, Juliet has been teaching gardening to professionals and enthusiasts for over 15 years.

Pitfield Cut Flower Farm
Nested away in the countryside just outside the picturesque village of Hurstpierpoint is Pitfield Barn Cut Flower Farm.
We meet in the barn – a really inspiring place to think about how to make a beautiful garden that is also a place of safety for local wildlife.
